The Recycling Partnership adds funding partner
The Recycling Partnership, Falls Church, Virginia, a nonprofit that applies corporate funding to improve recycling in U.S. communities, has announced that Berry Global Inc., an Evansville, Illinois-based provider of protection and packaging solutions, has joined as its newest funding partner.
“Our mission of Always Advancing to Protect What’s Important is in direct alignment with the efforts pursued by The Recycling Partnership,” says Tom Salmon, CEO of Berry. “By collaborating with The Recycling Partnership, we will be assisting in their efforts to further expand access to recycling in cities and towns across the United States.”
Since 2015, The Recycling Partnership says it has helped more than 500 communities improve their recycling efforts, reaching more than 26 million households.
Berry says recycling is a core component of its commitment to sustainability. In addition to encouraging consumer recycling, the company also is working to decrease landfill waste in its own operations.
Keefe Harrison, The Recycling Partnership CEO, says, “Working closely with industry leaders like Berry allows us to expand access to recycling in communities across the nation, unlocking the environmental and economic benefits of strong recycling systems. Through these partnerships, we are empowering companies to create a circular economy while building stronger communities and a cleaner, greener future.”
