Liquid Technology, an IT asset disposition (ITAD) service provider based in Brooklyn, New York, is offering free pickups and a custom onboarding program to all customers whose operations have been affected by the unexpected closer of Centennial, Colorado-based Arrow Electronics’ ITAD division. The company, which focuses on end-of-life hardware management, says it will serve partner companies with “greater security, maximize return on investment (ROI) and minimize business risk” during the asset retirement process.
As businesses migrate to the cloud, the importance of ethical and thorough ITAD practices is growing, Liquid Technology says in a news release. Valued at more than $11 billion, the global IT asset disposition market is expected to grow to be worth $19 billion by 2022. With concerns regarding electronic scrap and data security mounting, the departure of Arrow Electronics “leaves a critical gap" in the industry," the company says.
Beyond free pickups, Liquid Technology, which recently completed a Chicago expansion, is also offering a custom onboarding program designed to “provide any existing Arrow customer or transaction with a premium discount package to engage, guide and complete projects with defined timelines during this transition period.”
Arrow Electronics announced the closure of its ITAD business June 29 during its second fiscal quarter preliminary results. The company says it plans to wind down its personal computer and mobility asset disposition business by the end of 2019.
"With Arrow Electronics’ departure, many of its former customers are being saddled with the responsibility of once again locating and allying with a trusted specialist that can guide them through the often complex process of ITAD,” says Richard Greene, managing partner for Liquid Technology. “Liquid Technology is ready and eager to help businesses across all sectors. We prioritize the delivery of top-tier, properly-certified and compliant services, empowering our customers to return their focus to their own core business operations with the peace of mind that comes with knowing their equipment and data is in great hands.”
Liquid Technology is focused primarily on US-based firms that do business domestically and internationally.
