Construction & Demolition Recycling, a sister publication to Recycling Today, has released its list of the largest demolition contractors in the United States.
Appearing in the publication's November/December 2021 issue, the list ranks companies based on their 2020 demolition-related revenue.
Maintaining their positions from the previous edition of the list are New York-based NorthStar Group Services Inc., Chicago-based Brandenburg Industrial Service Co. and Irving, Texas-based Penhall Co., which comprise the top three highest grossing demolition contractors. The five largest companies are rounded out by D.H. Griffin Wrecking Co., Greensboro, North Carolina, and ERM of Denver.
While this year's list shows mixed results among contractors year over year, on average, companies exhibited growth from 2019 to 2020. For example, the top 10 highest grossing demolition contractors of 2019 had an average of $173.15 million in revenue compared with $196.83 million for 2020.
