The Gulf Coast Chapter of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI) will host its 2011 winter seminar, Scrap.edu/Maintenance Jan. 25-27, 2011, at the Sheraton Grand Hotel-DFW Airport in Irving, Texas.
ISRI Gulf Coast describes the event as “an educational experience with sessions focused on preventative maintenance and a broad range of current industry-related topics as well as a tour of Holt Capterpillar.”
Topics to be covered Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 25 and 26, include portable shears, scrap handlers, balers, shredders, skid steers / forklifts and software for preventive maintenance as well as safety issues such as lock out tag out and confined space entry. Each of these days concludes with a reception featuring cocktails and appetizers.
The tour of Holt Caterpillar will be the morning of Thursday, Jan. 27.
The cost to register is $295 per person, with a discount available to those who register before Jan. 7, 2011.
