INNOVATIVE RECYCLING

Innovative Recycling Systems Inc., Solon, Ohio, has sold a midsection and deflector dome to Mid-America Shredding in Memphis to convert a 74104 Hammermill machine into a top and bottom discharge machine. This conversion includes Innovative Recycling’s exclusive front-wall castings and reversible deflector dome.

Also, Innovative Recycling has designed a complete shredding system for Bayou Steel Corp. in Louisiana. This system incorporates a used shredder housing along with a new infeed conveyor, feed ramp and double feed roll frame. The company has also sold a new midsection and deflector dome to Co-Steel Recycling, Whitby, Ontario. This is a heavy duty design for very high production by a 98104-sized machine.

PRODEVA

Prodeva Inc., Jackson Center, Ohio, has installed two of its Mini-MRF systems, one at Auglaize County Recycling, St. Mary’s, Ohio, and the other at Shelby County Recycling, Sidney, Ohio. Both systems use Prodeva conveying equipment and glass crushers. The Shelby County facility also has a shaker conveyor and a cross-belt separator feeding a Prodeva steel can flattener. The Shelby facility can handle five to six tons per day of mixed curbside material.

COUNT

Count Recycling Systems, Des Moines, Iowa, has installed a customized McMRF 500 commingled recycling system in San Antonio, Texas, for Vista Fibers. Also incorporated into the Vista Fibers system is a Steady Eddy eddy current separation system designed to pull aluminum from the stream.

HARRIS WASTE MANAGEMENT

Cozzi Iron & Metal, Chicago, has purchased a TG-4036 baler from Harris Waste Management Group Inc., Peachtree City, Ga. The $1.5 million purchase represents a significant upgrade for the company’s East Chicago, Ind., facility, which processes approximately 20,000 to 25,000 tons of scrap per month.

The baler was purchased to process industrial clippings produced in stamping plants and steel service centers.
