BULK HANDLING SYSTEMS
Bulk Handling Systems Inc., Eugene, Ore., has designed, manufactured and installed a 117,000-ton-per-year green waste/wood debris processing system at the Waste Management Inc. Davis Street Station for Material Recycling and Transfer located in San Leandro, Calif.
The screening and grinding system has been billed as the first and largest of its kind in the U.S. and recovers all of the incoming yard material for reuse.
In addition, BHS has supplied the front end of a construction and demolition debris processing system for Waste Management-Wisconsin.
The system, designed for processing up to 30 tons of materials per hour, includes a B.H.S. Steelbelt Infeed Conveyor and a patented Debris Roll Screen.
LINDEMANN
Lindemann Recycling Equipment Inc., Charlotte, N.C., has made several new installations. The company installed a RAM II 1127-200T6 baler at Recycle America, a division of Waste Management Inc. located in Richmond, Va. The unit, which is used for processing fibers and commingled recyclables, displaces 50,000 cubic feet per hour and can process more than 6,000 tons of OCC per month.
In addition, Lindemann has received an order for a Lindemann RAM II 1127-100S3 Automatic Horizontal Baler from Weiner Iron & Metal Corp., Pottsville, Pa. The recycling company will use the baler, which is capable of baling 17 tons of material per hour, for nonferrous metals.
COUNTEC
Countec Recycling Systems, Des Moines, Iowa, has installed a custom McMRF 200 commingled container sort system and fiber line system for Wayne County in Arcadia, N.Y. The facility began processing 20 tons per hour of containers and 100 tons per hour of paper in June. In addition, Countec installed another McMRF 200 Commingled Container Sort system for Recycle America/Waste Management of Grand Rapids in Wyoming, Mich. That facility began processing 20 tons per hour of containers in May.
HARRIS WASTE MANAGEMENT GROUP
Cutts Bros. Ltd., Sheffield, U.K., has purchased an HRB-1135W two-ram baler from Harris Waste Management Group Inc., Peachtree City, Ga. The unit will be used to process lower grades of paper, although it can also bale corrugated cardboard, newsprint, PET plastics, aluminum cans or solid waste. In addition, M. Hirvikoski of Ulvila, Finland, has installed a Harris TGS-216A three-ram baler in its recycling facility for processing metals.
