Wendt Corp.
Wendt Corp., Tonawanda, N.Y., has installed a twin SuperEddy EddySort grading and recovery system at the Structural Metals Inc. (SMI) Seguin, Texas facility. SMI, a division of Commercial Metals Co., Dallas, operates a Texas Shredder 122/108 auto shredder at the site. The twin SuperEddy will complement the shredder and will be part of a system that also features a Wendt tumble-back feeder and a three-stage square trommel.
Cumberland Engineering
Adirondack Plastics and Recycling Inc., South Glens Falls, N.Y., has installed a Model 1224 rapid grinder made by Cumberland Engineering, South Attleboro, Mass. Adirondack provides toll-grinding services in addition to brokering, consulting and other plastic recycling services. Among the resins processed by the company are flexible and rigid PVC, polypropylene, polystyrene, polycarbonate, LDPE and HDPE.
Countec Recycling Systems
Countec Recycling Systems, Des Moines, Iowa, has announced several recent equipment installations. The company’s McMRF 200 Commingled Container Sort System has been installed at an FCR Inc. facility in Greensboro, S.C. Another McMRF 200 system was installed for the U.S. Army at Fort Irwin, Calif. Countec has also recently installed a custom Fiber Line Sort System for Maryland Environmental Services in Cockeysville, Md.
