The metals recycling company Industrial Services of America Inc. (ISA), Louisville, Kentucky, has named Tony Alvis business unit manager for its Waste Equipment Sales and Service Co. (WESSCO) and Computerized Waste Systems (CWS) divisions.
Alvis replaces Ron Meyer, who is retiring from ISA.
ISA says Alvis will focus on expanding the company’s waste management programs and equipment leasing to commercial customers. He has more than 23 years of industry experience. Prior to ISA, Alvis worked for Rumpke of Indiana, Republic Services of Indiana, Ray’s Trash Service and Green City Recycling/In-N-Out Trash Services.
“Combined with our renewed capital availability for the WESSCO business, we believe Tony’s hiring is another sign of our increased commitment to the growth of our waste management and equipment rental efforts,” says Sean Garber, president of ISA. “We are very excited to focus on these business units and are fortunate to have someone with Tony’s experience join the team to help fuel our growth.”
ISA says its WESSCO division owns, operates and maintains a fleet of compactors, balers and other waste handling and recycling equipment. Additionally, the division recommends, sells, rents and leases waste handling and recycling equipment to retail, commercial and industrial customers.
ISA’s CWS division offers waste and recycling management programs to single and multilocation retail, commercial and industrial customers nationwide, providing clients assistance with waste diversion and disposal cost minimization.
