Hi-Rise Recycling Systems, Inc. closed its Okahumpka, Fla., manufacturing plant. The company said the closing would save the company an estimated $500,000 a year. All sales, operations and manufacturing operation currently being performed in Okahumpka will be transferred to the existing Miami operation of Hesco Sales, Inc.
Hi-Rise also announced that it has expanded its existing Toronto sales and service operations to include the manufacture of apartment compactors along with trash and linen chutes. Recycltech, Hi-Rise's Toronto subsidiary will use the same model that the balance of the architectural products plants have used throughout the United States.
