Hawaii Beverage Container Redemption Rate Dips

State’s Department of Health says redemption rate has fallen from 79 percent to 76 percent.

The Hawaii State Department of Health (DOH) has announced that the state’s deposit beverage container redemption rate for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2010, was 76 percent, a decline from last year’s 79 percent redemption rate, the highest rate since the program began in 2005.
