UPM-Kymmene is planning to combine its magazine paper and newsprint divisions in a single publication papers division to streamline global operations.
Ismo Lepola, currently head of UPM-Kymmene's magazine paper operations, will be president of the new division, the company said in a statement.
Pentti Arvela, who has headed newsprint operations, will be involved full-time in the team responsible for implementing UPM's merger with U.S. group Champion, especially integrating the paper divisions, UPM-Kymmene said.
