Eriez has announced the release of Turning Scrap into Cash, a free book that provides detailed information on the company’s P-REX permanent rare earth Xtreme Scrap Drum.
According to an Eriez release, Turning Scrap into Cash describes how the P-REX eliminates the weaknesses of electro drums to provide efficient separation and more recovery, resulting in greater profits for scrap recycling operations.
“Prior to the introduction of P-REX, processors had no option but to accept reduced revenue due to more limited metal recovery—but no longer,” says Tim Shuttleworth, Eriez’s president and CEO. “For processors who are ready to achieve maximum profitability, ordering this book is a must.”
According to the book, P-REX’s permanent magnetic circuit, designed using sophisticated modeling techniques, is up to 40 percent stronger than an electro drum and is capable of moving large spherical objects at twice the distance. “P-REX is able to reach into the shredded material and remove even difficult meatballs,” says Shuttleworth.
Turning Scrap into Cash also showcases other Eriez products for recycling, including the ProSort and ProSort II Airless Metal Recovery System, the RevX-E Eccentric Eddy Current Separator, the DensitySort Air Table, the TotalSort Metal Recovery System and the FinesSort Metal Recovery System. The book includes a DVD showing the P-REX, RevX-E and ProSort II at work.
