Al-jon Manufacturing Introduces Container Loader System
Al-Jon Manufacturing, Ottumwa, Iowa, has introduced a container loading system that it says will “dramatically improve” an operation’s productivity and safety.
The 4020CLS container loader system is suitable for use with 20- or 40-foot containers and is designed for years of trouble-free operation, according to Al-jon. “Weighing 30,000 pounds heavier than our competitors, the Al-jon 4020CLS is built to last the most rugged applications,” says Curt Spry, Al-jon scrap sales manager.
The 4020CLS features a hopper that an operator loads with a material handler. A digital readout alerts the operator as to when the maximum weight has been loaded. Then, with a press of a remote button, the 4020CLS automatically loads the container. The tractor trailer remains stationary during the loading cycle.

Steinert Defends its Trademarks
German magnetic equipment maker Steinert has issued a news release stating that the brand names of many of the products it sells to recyclers around the world have been “given international protection in recent years.”
The company states, “This currently applies to the Hybrid Drum, the most recent stage of development of the magnetic drum which has been successful in the shredder industry.
“Further trademark rights exist for sensor sorting systems, such as the induction sorting system ISS, the color sorting system FSS and the X-ray sorting system XSS,” the company’s news release continues. “Trademark rights have also been applied for international markets for the new CanMaster eddy current separator.”

Morbark Expands Dealer Network
Morbark Inc., a Winn, Mich.-based manufacturer of grinders and shredders, has announced that it has expanded its dealer network in the Northeast and Southeast regions of the United States.
Morbark has added the Northeast and Southeast regions of Nortrax Equipment to its network. Nortrax Northeast has been a Morbark dealer for 20 years, serving Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire and, as of July 2009, has expanded its network to serve customers in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
“We are pleased with the expansion of Nortrax Northeast and believe this will further enhance the level of service, support and availability of Morbark equipment in the Northeastern United States,” says Michael Stanton, Morbark’s Northeast regional assistant sales manager.
In addition, Nortrax Southeast partnered with Morbark in April to expand the Morbark dealer network to customers in Southeastern U.S., including 12 locations throughout central and southern Florida.
Finally, Morbark says it also has signed a dealer agreement with Warrior Tractor and Equipment, based in Northport, Ala. The dealer will represent the recycling product line for Alabama and Arkansas and for Wayne, Lawrence and Giles counties in Tennessee.
Road Machinery Becomes Sennebogen Distributor
Sennebogen LLC, with U.S. headquarters in Charlotte, N.C., has announced that it has added Phoenix-based Road Machinery LLC to its distributor network. Mutual interests and needs led to the partnership of Sennebogen and Road Machinery LLC, says Gary Beal, vice president of sales for Road Machinery.
“Sennebogen was offering purpose-built machines that we thought would be of great value for our customers and they were looking for a major distributor to represent them in the Southwestern United States,” says Beal. “Our company president, Dennis Romanson, had previous experience with the Sennebogen line and he thought it would be a good fit for us. His hunch was correct. We love working with the people at Sennebogen. They’re innovative, creative and open-minded and provide strong support to both the distributor and customer. And on top of that, the product performs as promised.”
With 14 locations throughout California, Arizona, New Mexico and western Texas, Road Machinery provides a large footprint as the official Sennebogen distributor from El Paso, Texas, to Northern California. “Road Machinery is a major player for Sennebogen with its multiple locations in the Southwest,” says Michael Worth, the Sennebogen regional sales manager who facilitated the partnership.
Established in the Phoenix area in 1955 with seven employees, Road Machinery has experienced continuous growth and expansion during the past 50 years. Today, the company’s more than 300 employees serve the mining, construction, industrial and governmental markets. Road Machinery offers its customers support through its repair and rebuild facilities, field service capabilities, factory-trained mechanics and complete parts inventories throughout each of the company’s multiple locations.
According to Beal, taking on the Sennebogen line of material handlers complements Road Machinery’s other product lines and has provided the company with more opportunities than officials first imagined.
“The Sennebogen machines have opened up potential new markets for us in scrap, logging, demolition, recycling, landfill and port applications. Diversity of applications will be our key to success. Our objective at first was to learn how to walk with the line before we started to run with it. Sennebogen has been great in coming to our locations and teaching us about the machines and how their purpose-built design meets our customers’ various application needs. Right now, we are looking into learning more about port applications in order to serve the unique needs of our customers in that sector,” says Beal.
“We are pleased to have Road Machinery LLC on the Sennebogen Team,” Constantino Lannes, president of Sennebogen LLC, says. “Their highly visible presence in the Southwestern U.S. and their emphasis on developing partnerships with their customers and providing them with strong aftermarket product support makes them the perfect partner.”

LEAE International becomes Imabe distributor
Imabe Ibérica, based in Madrid, has named LEAE International, Hingham, Mass., as the North American distributor of the company’s line of scrap shears and car balers. LEAE International is a new company formed by Eli and Harrie Cohen.
Manuel San Sebastián, Imabe export director, says, “We’re excited about this appointment. The Cohen family and their company, LEAE, bring years of experience in the scrap processing business to the relationship. This, combined with Imabe’s long history in the industry, offers scrap dealers in North America a new and important option.”
The agreement between the companies includes the immediate availability of parts and service through a main warehouse that is already operating in Ontario, Calif.
The company’s product line includes scrap shears and balers, recycling plants, balers for fiber and mixed recyclables and solid waste processing equipment. The firm has installations throughout the world and operates subsidiaries in Mexico City, Sao Paolo and Moscow.
Imabe says LEAE does not replace its current distributor for high-speed baling equipment for paper and mixed recyclables, which remains Waste Processing Equipment, based in Rainsville, Ala.
Until now Imabe Ibérica’s business has been focused primarily in Western and Eastern Europe as well as in Mexico and South America. In March 2009 the company announced that Waste Processing Equipment would offer Imabe’s automatic balers through the Max-Pak dealer network.
Founded in 1975 Imabe Ibérica is a leading supplier of recycling machinery.
