Bucks Fabricating opens facility in Mississippi
Bucks Fabricating, a roll-off container manufacturer based in Hadley, Pennsylvania, has opened a second manufacturing facility in Tishomingo, Mississippi. In addition to some on-site stock of its WorkForce family of products, the new 200,000-square-foot facility has commenced manufacturing and shipping.
Federal Signal, an environment and safety solutions equipment manufacturer based in Oak Brook, Illinois, acquired Bucks Manufacturing along with the rest of Pennsylvania-based Deist Industries LLC in November 2021. Bucks Fabricating says the acquisition enabled it to partner with a sister equipment manufacturer on the facility in Tishomingo. The name of the sister company was not disclosed.
“Bucks Fabricating ... recognized the benefits of a second location which would [serve] the Southern market with the same great products,” says Crystal Roseberry, Bucks Fabricating sales and marketing manager. “This new location allows us to be more competitive on shipping rates, as well as have available inventory on the ground ready for immediate shipment.”
Bucks Fabricating has a dedicated Southern phone number: 662-438-4563. The company also has redesigned its website. Bucks Fabricating says the updated interface makes it easier for customers to shop for roll-offs and small cans.
Aluminum extrusions maker adds capacity in Ohio
Superior Aluminum Products, a maker of recycled-content aluminum railings, fencing, columns and column wraps, held a groundbreaking ceremony in honor of its 50,000-square-foot expansion at its facility in Russia, Ohio, home of the company’s headquarters.
The new addition represents a 45 percent increase in the facility’s current size and will create space for manufacturing and administrative offices, along with engineering, design, research and development and customer service functions.
Superior says many of its railing and column products contain 50 percent or more recycled content, making buyers eligible to earn Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED, Green Building credits.
The expansion in Ohio, which was supported by the Dayton Development Coalition, means the company will add 17 new jobs during the next three years in Russia, which is in Shelby County, Ohio.
“I know what the labor pool is in Russia and Shelby County, and it is known that these people are hard-working; they’re small-town, with Midwest farming community values and work ethic,” Superior President Doug Borchers says.
Superior, a third-generation, family-owned business, says its “maintenance-free products” are ideal for commercial, municipal and industrial facilities, as well as single-family and multifamily residential locations.
In addition to its use of aluminum, the company has a line of fiberglass and polyvinyl chloride plastic building products.
