Sennebogen to expand capacity at its Stanley, North Carolina, campus

Sennebogen LLC, the Stanley, North Carolina-based subsidiary of Germany-based Sennebogen GmbH, hosted a ceremony to celebrate an expansion of its campus in Stanley.

Saying its subsidiary in the United States “has been very successful for almost 25 years,” Sennebogen credits the North Carolina-based business unit for its reach into several industry sectors, including metal recycling, steel mills, the timber industry, port operations and waste management.

Sennebogen LLC, founded in 2000, initially was housed “in modest rented premises,” the company says.

“Nine years later, thanks to dynamic growth, the company was able to move into its own location with offices, training rooms and a large spare parts warehouse.”

Four years after that, Sennebogen’s had to double its space, and now, a spring 2024 groundbreaking ceremony was held to mark “an impressive further expansion” that will entail the creation of an additional three training rooms and halls, new office space, a spacious apprenticeship workshop based on the German model and a presentation and demonstration area.”

The more than 160,000 square feet of floor space that will exist after the expansion will be situated on Sennebogen’s 35-acre site in Stanley.

At the North Carolina campus, Sennebogen says it hosts sales partners and customers from the U.S., Canada, Central America, Brazil and Uruguay.

“With 110 employees and the continued market success of the last 24 years, this investment forms the basis for the further expansion of the company’s market leadership in these important markets,” the company says.

Erie, Pennsylvania-based magnetic and recycling equipment developer Eriez has invested to expand operations at its Eriez-Europe facility in Caerphilly, Wales.

At the Welsh facility, Eriez has added three custom-built paint booths for parts and equipment.

“This notable investment underscores the company’s commitment to improving production processes, elevating product quality, strengthening environmental stewardship and facilitating growth across Europe,” the company says.

The recently installed paint booths offer substantial capacity and feature high-temperature oven drying functions designed to greatly reduce production times and enable faster turnaround of painted products.

“By expanding paint line capacity, heightening efficiency and supporting the production of a more consistent product while minimizing environmental impact, we are well-poised to embark on our next phase of expansion and sustainability objectives,” says Gareth Thomas, operations director at Eriez-Europe.

Additionally, the booths are equipped with powerful duplex fans that maintain superior air quality within the workspace, “fostering a healthier environment for employees and ensuring impeccable finish quality,” Eriez says.

The new paint booths were commissioned in May and constructed by U.K.-based Rowley Spray Booths. They will apply paint to Eriez components and equipment designed to undertake magnetic separation, metal detection and material handling functions.

Eriez designs, manufactures and markets its product line on six continents. Its operations include 12 wholly owned international subsidiaries and it works with what it calls an extensive sales representative network.
