Shred-Tech, a Cambridge, Ontario-based maker of size-reduction equipment, has announced that it significantly increased its business last year and plans to add new locations and products in 2008.
The company reported revenues topping $60 million in 2007. With strong, double-digit growth rates, Shred-Tech projects annual revenues approaching $70 million this year.
"Our significant investment in research and development keeps us on the cutting edge of building top-of-the-line destruction and reduction systems," Shred-Tech CEO Robert Glass, says. "These systems facilitate our mission to directly address environmental concerns and eliminate risks involved with identity theft, while providing solid business opportunities for entrepreneurs nationwide."
The company also is scheduled to open a new service facility in Los Angeles as well as to unveil two new products for the secure destruction industry. Shred-Tech describes the MDS-15GT as a "more economical" shred truck. The DDS-35 is an in-plant paper shredding system.

All Source Adds to StaffBarrie, Ontario-based All Source Security Container, a manufacturer and distributor of security containers, has added Mike Campbell as U.S. Southeast area manager.
Campbell has more than 10 years of recycling and document destruction industry experience. He is based out of North Carolina and his territory spans more than 13 states.
He is also involved in the operation of All Source’s newest expansion project, a warehouse in Charlotte, N.C. The new warehouse, which will be operational in spring of 2008, will service customers in the Southeast United States.
For the past four years, Campbell has worked with a on-site shredding firm as the key accounts sales manager.
