LOLLINI ANNOUNCES INSTALLATIONS
Lollini R&M, with U.S. offices in Ontario, Calif., and Boston, has announced the sale and installation of three pieces of equipment: a shear, logger/baler and shear/baler.
A to Z Metals in Compton, Calif., has installed its second Lollini machine—an ALC706FD shear/baler. The machine was installed May 1 and will handle the processing of A to Z Metals’ ferrous material. It joins an AL 4032FD baler, which bales the company’s nonferrous metal.
In addition, a new ALC706 shear has been installed at Pacific Recycling in Eugene, Ore. The machine was also installed the first week of May.
Finally, Kitagawa Towing in Maui, Hawaii, has installed an AL6000 portable logger/baler. The machine was installed the second week of May.

VAN DYK INSTALLS DRUM FEEDER
Rivergate Recycling, Nashville, Tenn., has purchased a Bollegraaf Drum Feeder to complement its Bollegraaf Single Stream system.
Installed in the spring of 2005, Rivergate’s single-stream system processes 15 tons of material per hour.
According to Stamford, Conn.-based Van Dyk Baler Corp., the North American distributor of Bollegraaf equipment, single-stream customers can realize a two-ton-per-hour increase in production by changing to the drum feeder. The Bollegraaf Drum Feeder can improve plant performance by providing constant flow of material to the sorting system, improving screening, according to Van Dyk.
Other Van Dyk Baler Bollegraaf Drum Feeder installations include Homewood Disposal, Waste Management Recycle America of Minneapolis, TFC Recycling, Waste Management Recycle America of Liverpool, N.Y., Vista Fibers and Great Lakes Recycling.

AIRBORN BALERS INTRODUCES VERTICAL BALER
AirBorn Balers, Mount Holly, N.C., has introduced a new vertical baler.
According to AirBorn, the model XHD-160 vertical baler can produce bales of OCC and of nonferrous metals weighing up to 1,500 pounds and 1,300 pounds, respectively. The company says the baler has the fastest cycle time in its class and produces the heaviest standard-size bales measuring 60 inches by 48 inches by 30 inches.
The XHD-160 offers a 40-hp motor and 150,000 psi in compaction force with a reported cycle time of 35 seconds.

US SHREDDER NETS INSTALLATION CONTRACT
The US Shredder and Castings Group has announced that it has been awarded an installation and consulting contract from Cimco Recycling of Sterling, Ill.,
Cimco Recycling will be installing an 80104 complete shredding system.
John Gralewski, president of Cimco Resources Inc., says, "We selected several key equipment suppliers, with the majority of equipment being produced by U.S. Conveyor of Mackinaw, Ill., so we wanted an experienced team to oversee the entire project." Gralweski adds, "US Shredder’s attention to detail convinced us that they would install our new system efficiently and quickly."

KARL W. SCHMIDT OFFERS AUTOMATIC DEBALING SYSTEM
Karl W. Schmidt and Associates Inc. (KWS) of Commerce City, Colo., has introduced an Automatic Debaling System that is designed to "de-densify" and meter baled materials with or without size reduction as required by the application.
In a press release, the company says that debaling can reduce manpower and increase throughput compared to manual means of separation.
The five shafts with specialized separation discs can be configured in a variety of settings to accomplish different material outputs for such uses as reducing bulk feeding of bales to pulpers or shredders and allowing inspection of material for tramp metals and other contaminants. KWS says the debaling system also proves a more consistent stream of material for an operation.
The base system includes an infeed conveyor, automatic debaler, take-away conveyor and all necessary chutes, hoppers and transitions.

SENNEBOGEN INTRODUCES MULTIHANDLER
Sennebogen has added the 305 Multihanlder C Series telehandler to its line of material handlers.
The machine features a hydraulic hi-rise operator’s cab with an eye level of 13.3 feet and a maximum lifting height of 24 feet. The telehandler also offers a maximum load-bearing capacity of more than 11,000 pounds and is outfitted with a 100-hp diesel engine.
The 305 Multihandler comes with an optional two-part XL telescopic boom, which provides the operator with an extended reach of 30 feet. According to Sennebogen, this greater reach and loading ability allows operators to access heights and to dump materials that traditional telehandlers or forklifts cannot.
The material handler features hydrostatic all-wheel drive and is equipped with three different steering systems.
Sennebogen has engineering a line of attachments for the 305 Multihandler, including an orange peel grapple, forks and buckets.
"Our dealers have had a number of inquiries from some of their customers who have seen the machine in Europe and are convinced that its built-in flexibility will be a great addition to their fleet," Sennebogen North America President Constantino Lannes says regarding the telehandlerr.

GENESIS INTRODUCES NEW SHEAR LINE
Superior, Wisc.-based Genesis Attachments has introduced the XP MAXX line of mobile shears in response to customer demand for a shear that provides large-scale results on a smaller-class machine, according to the company.
Shane Kuhlmey, national sales manager for Genesis, says the MAXX line of shears uses innovative design and manufacturing technology to provide power usually found in larger shears.
"By utilizing a superior design of the shear body—in essence overbuilding the body—we are able to install a much larger cylinder and increase the stroke of that cylinder," Kuhlmey says.
The GXP 660 MAXX shear is for use on excavators in the 70,000-pound class, and the GXP 990 MAXX is for use with 100,000-pound excavators.
According to Genesis, the 660 MAXX provides cutting forces generally found in shears used on 100,000 excavators, and the 990 MAXX provides the cutting power and speed of shears typically mounted on 125,000-pound excavators. Both models also feature Genesis’ patented bolt-on piercing tip, dual guide blades and four identical, four-way indexable blades to minimize maintenance-related downtime.

AMERICAN BALER UNVEILS NEW HIGH-SPEED BALER
American Baler has introduced a new single-ram baler that has a rated production capacity in excess of 50 tons and 46,000 cubic feet per hour.
The HS8543 baler is well suited to single-stream operations, according to American Baler National Sales Manager Roger Williams, and the development of the new high-speed baler was driven by their needs.
"The single-stream concept is built on dependability," Williams says. "The volume of material these facilities collect every day really raises the bar in terms of the need to ensure same-day processing. With our track record, operators know that they can count on American Baler to have technical staff and service parts available on a days notice to keep productivity high and operating costs as low as possible."
The HS8543 features a large feed opening and twin motors that are optimized to produce dense bales quickly without heavy power usage, according to American Baler. Auxiliary functions, such as the auto-tier and fluffer door, are driven by a separate dedicated motor. A patented floating-tension force allows the baler to adjust automatically to the requirements of changing materials. The baler also includes American Baler’s swing-away auto-tie assembly and touch-screen interface with diagnostic display.
