ALDERMAN-DOW ADDS SENNEBOGEN MACHINE
Alderman-Dow Iron & Metal Co. has added a Sennebogen 830 R-HD material handler to its 3-acre facility along the New Haven, Conn., harbor front.
"When we decided to replace our old machine, I was mostly concerned with having a machine with the right reach, speed and control for our needs," Norm Alderman of Alderman-Dow says.
Tyler Equipment of Prospect, Conn., Alderman’s equipment dealer, recommended the Sennebogen machine, which is crawler-mounted and, at 77,000 pounds, one of the smaller scrap handlers built by the company. The 830 R-HD features a working radius of 53 feet, 6 inches; a simple hydraulic system without computers; easy maintenance access; and a purpose-built crawler undercarriage for increased stability.
"Tyler was looking after my old machine, too, and I was very impressed by their service," Alderman says. "They were a major factor in my decision to go with Sennebogen."
Headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., Sennebogen North America offers 21 purpose-built material handlers.
