Attachments Distributor Enters Market
CE Attachments Inc., a division of Gehl Co., Mequon, Wisc., has entered the attachment distributor market, boasting an extensive range of compact equipment attachments. “We aim to become the single-source supplier for each of our customer’s attachment needs,” says general manager Craig Hammann. “If we don’t have the attachment they are looking for in inventory, we’ll find it for them.
CEA says helping customers find and take delivery of hard to find attachments will give the company a competitive advantage. Equipment dealers can search online for equipment at ceattach.com and can submit orders and get quotes at the site.
The company will initially focus on skid steer and compact excavator attachments and accessories, and plans to expand product offerings in the future.
CONTAINERS HELP SET DIVERSION RECORDS
A pilot program in Markham, Ontario, has yielded a 65% diversion rate and almost 100% participation rate. The 6-month pilot program, “Markham’s on a Roll,” included the use of the Two Can Automated Split Container from Bonar Plastics Inc., Ridgefield, Wash.
About 588 homes in a residential area placed their waste on one side of the 110-gallon container and recyclables on the other. The container was then wheeled to the curb and collected using a fully automated Heil 7000 split body truck. The recovery of recyclables with use of the two-can system has increased from 23% to 31%. Use of the system also allows for just one truck and one driver to be used for collection.

The company logo will not change and the company will continue to trademark the equipment it manufacturers under the Kobelco name.
