By now you’ve surely noticed that C&D Recycler magazine has undergone a fairly dramatic change. We’ve changed our name to Construction & Demolition Recycling magazine and done a complete graphic redesign. These changes are important, but they are really driven by the more dramatic change we have made to the magazine, expanding our editorial mission.
Since its founding in March 1999, this magazine has been focused on the recycling of demolition debris and construction materials that are discarded during the tearing down and building up of industrial and residential buildings and infrastructure. That will not change; we’ll continue to provide valuable, in-depth coverage of this essential business activity. However, the business of construction and demolition work continues to evolve, with more and more recycling integrated into the jobsite. Our expanded coverage will dig into this important part of the industry.
We’ll also expand our coverage of the demolition industry, focusing on the business needs of contractors in the market. Business today is more competitive everywhere. Understanding how to make your operation as competitive as possible is essential to winning the bid. Our expanded coverage will focus on this important area of business—managing for profit and competitiveness.
Our new name reflects expanded coverage of this evolving marketplace. Our new graphics make the magazine even more reader friendly. You’ll notice a crisper, cleaner and more contemporary look as you enjoy this and subsequent issues. You’ll also see more industry photography, illustrating how industry contractors are getting the job done.
Our changes don’t stop with our print edition. Our Internet site, www.CDRecycler.com, has also undergone a complete redesign, as has our e-newsletter. Recognizing the importance of product news for industry managers, we are also introducing C&DR Product News, a new monthly e-newsletter dedicated to providing the latest in product information. One key to being the best operator is using the right equipment for the job. This resource will make sure you know about all the tools at your disposal, and all of its information will be indexed on our Web site.
The old saying in life and business is, " The only constant is change." This industry is certainly no exception. We’ll continue to change with it in order to provide the most current business information for your operation.
If you’re not receiving any of our information, in print or by e-mail, simply let us know and we’ll make sure you do. And please let us know how we’re doing by giving us a call or dropping us an e-mail. We love to talk shop.
