Quality, heavy-duty equipment always has been synonymous with American Pulverizer and Hustler Conveyor. Since 1908, attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement have ensured the successful start-up and long life of their machinery, leading to thousands of satisfied customers.
The companies leverage the latest 3D modeling to fully integrate systems, which has proven to reduce installation and set-up time in the field. All equipment is engineered, fabricated and quality controlled fully in-house at their St. Louis area facilities.
“What truly sets us apart are quality employees who are focused on meeting customer needs, delivering superior machinery and the best possible installations,” says Dave Guyton, long-time Hustler Conveyor sales manager. “Saving time during start-up has led to many repeat customers because they know it’s going to fit together right the first time.”
An exciting development for American Pulverizer has been the increased popularity of its legendary ring mills. “Once known for splitting southern Illinois coal while producing minimum fines and then as the ultimate turnings crushers, these mills have found new purpose,” says James Holder, vice president of sales.
As scrap companies have exported less unprepared material and sought to maximize recovery, the newly redesigned ring mills have carved a niche further processing ferrous and nonferrous products. They provide superior material liberation with far less maintenance when compared with quad-shaft shredders while dramatically minimizing fines.
“Users appreciate the updated and improved access our engineers have designed into the mills. It minimizes downtime, creating a true maintenance man’s dream,” Holder continues.
With more than 700 models of mills and shredders capable of processing ferrous, aluminum, e-scrap, wire and more, every scrap yard probably has a need for American Pulverizer equipment.
Cody Gonzales of Hustler Conveyor shares, “Whether we are delivering a complete takeaway system, container loading system, the D4 cat track conveyor, an extra-heavy-duty under-mill oscillator, a baler infeed or a sorting line, our customers know that our products deliver long-life, low maintenance and superior performance. They are simply second to none.”
The companies also are excited to be offering modular systems to minimize concrete work and add portability as scrap yards continue to change with the times.
As true U.S. manufacturers, the companies have worked together to ensure the highest standards in a competitive industry. Each is adding additional fabrication and CNC machine tools for improved efficiency and to meet demand.
Chris and Paul Griesedieck, fourth-generation owners, are committed to designing, manufacturing and delivering machinery that delivers real efficiency and productivity gains for their customers. As the scrap and recycling industry continues to evolve, they are committed to being leaders the industry can count on.
