Dennis Denton, founder of Denton Plastics, Portland, Ore., has announced the appointment of Nicole Janssen to the post of company president. Janssen formerly served as vice president of the plastics recycling firm and has been with the company for 16 years.
Janssen’s promotion is part of a long-term succession plan, according to a press release issued by Denton Plastics. She replaces Denton as president. He will remain active with the company and retains his position of chairman of the board.
“Nicole has been a very valuable member of our management team and her promotion to president is well-deserved,” Denton says. “I’m confident that her vision and talent will further establish our leadership in plastics recycling, both locally and beyond.”
“Denton Plastics’ commitment to making a positive difference in the world will continue to be a top priority as we move forward,” Janssen says. “I look forward to leading these efforts and playing an even larger role in the continuing development of the company.”
The company has also promoted Teresa Galin to senior vice president. Galin was previously vice president of finance.
Founded in 1983, Denton Plastics processes the entire spectrum of thermoplastics, including engineering and commodity grade resins. More information is available at www.dentonplastics.com.
