Colonial Metals Receives Award

Colonial Metals Co., Columbia, Pa., has been awarded a supplier excellence award by Matthews International Inc., Pittsburgh. The award was presented to Phillip Serls, president and chief operating officer of Colonial Metals, by Kenneth Mueller, purchasing manager of the Bronze Division of Matthews. "Colonial Metals received the award based on performance over alloy ingots and its on-time delivery," Mueller noted.

Mayfran Appoints H. West as Distributor

Mayfran International, Cleveland, has appointed H. West Equipment Inc., Orange, Calif., as an exclusive Mayfran dealer and representative for Mayfran conveyors and recycling systems for the solid waste industry. H. West Equipment will sell, install and service Mayfran recycling equipment in California, Arizona and Utah. H. West has more than 40 years combined experience representing major manufacturers of balers, compactors, cranes, granulators, blowers, shears and shredders.

Goodyear Offers Recycled Oil at Service Centers

Goodyear, Akron, Ohio, and Safety-Kleen, Elgin, Ill., have teamed up to offer customers at all 800-plus Goodyear Auto Service Centers re-refined motor oil. The recycled oil will be called America’s Choice and will cost the same as virgin oil when customers order an oil change. The re-refined oil will also be available at Goodyear-owned Just Tires, TireMax and All Systems Go stores. Safety-Kleen claims it is the world’s largest collector and recycler of automotive and industrial fluids.
