Colmar offers five efficient shear/baler/logger models with shear forces ranging from 3.75 to 6.5 tons per hour to 14 to 16 tons per hour.
All units are equipped with remote control, which is essential when the operator is controlling the unit from its integrated loader. They also feature automatic cycling, which makes the machines particularly efficient.
The operator’s cab of the crane-equipped units includes a hydraulic tilt mechanism, steel sheet construction, excellent visibility, safety glass and an adjustable ergonomically contoured seat. The cab also includes a control panel with engine oil pressure and fuel level gauges, hour meter, indicator lights and switches for monitoring the machine’s operation.
CAYMAN HORIZONTAL SHEARS
Colmar USA recently introduced three models of its new Cayman horizontal shears, which the company describes as "truly portable." The horizontal shears include four automatically adjusting lifting cylinders and can easily be placed on a trailer and moved to various jobsites for on-site processing of material. Colmar can also wheel-mount its horizontal shears at the customer’s request.
The Cayman 777 is capable of continuous operation, processing from 6 to 18 tons per hour with a shear force of 700 metric tons. The horizontal shear measures 24.6 feet long, 9.4 feet high and 7.2 feet wide and weighs in at 66,000 pounds.
Other models of the Cayman shear include the 700, with a shear force of 777 tons producing 2.4 cycles per minute, and the 1000, with 1,000 tons of shear force producing four cycles per minute.
