CMRA 2002 SPEAKERS ANNOUNCED
The Annual Meeting of the Construction Materials Recycling Association will be held March 20, 2002, in Las Vegas in conjunction with the huge ConExpo-Con/Agg show.
The Treasure Island Resort on The Strip is the site of the CMRA meeting. The CMRA will have a special room block at the hotel, and all registrants to the CMRA Annual Meeting will be automatically registered for the massive ConExpo equipment exhibition. In addition, CMRA meeting participants can receive reduced rates on seminars put on by ConExpo-Con/Agg, including the recycling sessions that the CMRA has helped develop.
The program for the CMRA Annual Meeting leads off with Byron Lord of the Federal Highway Administration, Washington, talking about recycled material use in highway construction. Also speaking are Terry Bauer, Green Seal Environmental, Hyannis, Mass., on safety at C&D recycling plants; and Paul Ruesch, U.S. EPA Region 5, Chicago, on dealing with regulations and regulators affecting the C&D recycling industry.
ConExpo-Con/Agg will sponsor several recycling-related sessions, including ones on asphalt shingle recycling, construction site recycling, what’s happening in concrete and asphalt recycling, and diesel emissions standards.
Recently ConExpo-Con/Agg sent out its first brochures announcing the hotel room booking policy. Those wishing to take advantage of the reduced rates on housing, registration, and seminars offered by CMRA will have to register with the CMRA.
Materials with details of the CMRA offer will be sent out in July. If there are any questions, please contact William Turley the CMRA at 630/548-4510; turley@cdrecycling.org .
