CONEXPO '96 SHOW ON RECORD PACE
Exhibit space sales for CONEXPO-CON/AGG ’96 are on a record pace, according to the Construction Industry Manufacturers Association, Milwaukee, and the National Aggregates/National Ready Mixed Concrete Association, Sliver Spring, Md., sponsors of the show. To date, 800 exhibitors have reserved more than 1 million square feet of space for the exhibition.
To accommodate the increased demand for room, exhibit space was recently expanded to include the site of the former Landmark Hotel, located across the street from the Las Vegas Convention Center. The added site gives exhibitors 250,000 square feet more of indoor and outdoor space. The indoor space will be provided by two erected climate-controlled buildings that will have full utility services
for exhibitors.
CONEXPO-CON/AGG ’96 is a major international equipment exposition that serves the construction, aggregates and ready mixed concrete industries, and will be held in Las Vegas during March 20-24, 1996. The show sponsors are expecting 80,000 to 100,000 attendees at the exposition.
COMPANY ASSISTS IN PROCESSING WOOD
According to Wood Fiber International, Waukesha, Wis., many companies in the wood waste recycling business or that wish to diversify into this business, have many obstacles to overcome. The main concern is how to properly handle and process the different types of wood to make a profit. Therefore, Wood Fiber International has developed a detailed system to assist companies that want answers to these problems. The system involves a complete audit/analysis of the wood processing company’s capabilities, assistance in identifying processes and markets, and help with feasibility studies and business plans.
