The Bureau of International Recycling (BIR), Brussels, holds its annual Autumn Round-Table Sessions Oct. 26-27 in Amsterdam.
The Okura Hotel, on the banks of the Amstel Canal, hosts the event. It is close to Amsterdam’s financial, cultural and entertainment districts.
Plenary sessions at the BIR Autumn Round-Table begin Monday, Oct. 26, at 9:30 a.m. with the Nonferrous Metals Round-Table and Trading Session. This session is followed by the International Environment Council plenary session at 11:30 a.m. and the Paper Round-Table and Trading Session, which begins at 3 p.m.
The by-invitation-only meetings scheduled for Oct. 26 include the Nonferrous Metals board, the Paper board, the Nominating Committee, the Stainless Steel and Special Alloys board and the Shredder board.
Also on the agenda for Monday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. is a welcome reception at Beurs van Berlage. The event gives delegates an opportunity to network in a social setting.
The BIR also offers an invitation-only Young Traders Networking dinner Oct. 26 that begins at 8:30 p.m.
Events Tuesday, Oct. 27, begin with an invitation-only meeting of the Ferrous board at 8 a.m., followed by the plenary Ferrous Round-Table and Trading Session at 9:30 a.m. The plenary Stainless Steel and Special Alloys Round-Table and Trading Session begins at 11:30 a.m. Following lunch, the plenary Textiles Round-Table and Trading Session begins at 1:30 p.m., and the conference concludes with the Tires Round-Table and Trading Session, which begins at 4 p.m.
