RECYCLING ROCKS ON
While his fashion statement may be questionable, his recycling message is not.
Peter DuBois, a waste reduction specialist with Washington’s Clark County Public Works Department, performs as Recycleman. Accompanied by the Dumpster Divers and clad in a kilt made from an old truck tire, he uses music to teach the merits of recycling.
Recycleman and the Dumpster Divers performed at two Seattle schools in early November and urged audiences to participate in a two-week computer recycling event hosted by Staples in honor of America Recycles Day.
The band played "The Used Computer Rag," a song about computer disposal issues.
