FEEL THE STRENGTH OF THE STEEL ALLIANCE
More than 70 North American steel producers, suppliers and affiliated organizations have formed The Steel Alliance, an industry-wide coalition created to deliver positive messages about steel to consumers.
In May The Steel Alliance launched a five-year, $100 million advertising campaign around the theme line, "The New Steel. Feel the Strength." David Hoag, chairman and CEO of LTV Steel Co., Cleveland, and chairman of The Steel Alliance, believes the campaign will "show consumers that steel should be a part of their lives if they want to better protect their families and live in a cleaner world."
According to officials, The Steel Alliance also signals a new partnership between the integrated mills and the minimills. For more information, visit www.thenewsteel.org.
