Revved Up

Collection trucks and associated products have many features designed to help streamline the collection of waste and recyclables.

Collection truck manufacturers are constantly evolving their vehicle designs to meet the needs of haulers. Designs today are constantly being upgraded to offer more fuel efficiency, ruggedness, ease of operation and better maneuverability, all to help make the often difficult jobs of curbside and Dumpster collection less cumbersome.
The following vehicles and accessories are some of the latest models and innovations in the constant battle to keep up with an ever changing material flow, to provide safe and environmentally conscious collection for haulers and the neighborhoods they serve. The vehicles and products featured on the following pages vary in size, capacity and loading position, just as the requirements of operators vary from location to location depending on the material mix and geographic area.

Hall-All HyPak Rapid Cycle Side Loader
The HyPak Rapid Cycle Side Loader from Haul-All combines rapid cycle loading and DAC (double action compaction) technology to optimize productivity. Haul-All  says the unit is ideal for medium to high volumes in curbside, multi-family and park applications. Features include:
• A large bucket volume of up to 5 cubic yards is designed to minimize loading time to optimize collection efficiency
• A low load height for manual collection is designed to maximize operator productivity and safety
• Collection cart dumper adds flexibility without the high cost of full automation
• Onboard 1,500-psi pressure washer
• A packing blade that compacts through the forward-and-return cycle to eliminate wasted strokes, which maximizes bucket, hopper and body volume while minimizing cab-to-axle and turning radius
• Panel design facilitates material flow during the compaction cycle to achieve higher payloads
