American Baler - A Proud Heritage

For more than six decades American Baler has supplied the world with innovative and reliable baling machines.

In the late 1940s, as the American economy ramped up after World War II, a company formerly called Ohio Cultivator sold their baler business to American Baler Co. For six decades, that company has been supplying equipment to handlers of scrap paper and other secondary commodities used by the world’s basic materials industries.

Innovation combined with an unwavering dedication to quality have been the hallmarks of American Baler Co., which has remained rooted with a small town work ethic in Bellevue, Ohio, while reaching out to the world beyond with equipment that can now be found on every continent.

American Baler has earned numerous patents and introduced a number of machines with automated advantages to the recycling industry. Through its own innovations and by acquiring companies and brand names such as Economy Baler, American Baler has remained out front in the creation of machines that fill the needs of recyclers of paper, metals, plastics and other secondary commodities.

Today, the American Baler product line has broadened to include more than 160 models, ranging from small vertical balers to large single-ram and two-ram balers that can operate in the highest-volume recycling facilities in the world.

With the introduction of its HS8543 High-Speed baler, American Baler remains at the forefront of innovation and customer satisfaction.

More than 60 years after selling its first baler into a recycling application, the American Baler Co. has a proud roster of some 2,000 auto-tie installations under its belt. Our experience, knowledge and commitment to innovation are among reasons why American Baler is atop the list as the first name in baling.
