A new publication, a new partnership

James R. Keefe, Publisher, Recycling Today

Welcome to the inaugural issue of Plastics Recycling magazine. We’re proud to have produced this magazine and happy you’re taking the time to read it.

In today’s world plastics are everywhere, from automobiles to aircraft and from toys to packaged goods. As plastics have found their way into every corner of our lives, the need to reclaim them for recycling has grown. At the same time, the need for production efficiency and the pursuit of zero-waste goals means plastics processors continue to look for new ways to improve their closed-loop recycling capabilities.

Plastics Recycling magazine is unique. As a joint publication produced by Plastics Machinery Magazine (PMM) and Recycling Today (RT), we’re dedicated to covering the entire plastics supply chain. We’ll bring readers critical insights about technology, process management, legislation, corporate profiles, markets and much more.

We’ll address all of the important issues surrounding in-plant and process scrap recycling while also delivering insights into postconsumer and postindustrial plastics recycling.

Tony Eagan, Publisher, Plastics Machinery Magazine

Our distribution is extensive, some 44,000-plus, as we mail the magazine with both RT and PMM. It’s a combination that delivers business information on recycling to the entire plastics industry and the recycling market. It’s truly unmatched.

We’re proud to count SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association as a supporter and editorial contributor. The organization’s CEO Bill Carteaux immediately saw the value in what we’re doing. In his vision for the future of plastics, recycling is integral to the industry. We agree. SPI plays a significant role in the distribution of this inaugural issue, sending the digital edition to their global database of industry contacts.

The editorial teams for PMM and RT have worked hard to create an editorial product covering a wide spectrum of plastics recycling activities. You’ll find an informative range of stories in this issue. You’ll also find some interesting product profiles in our Product Innovations pages.

Please give us your feedback on this first issue. We’ll publish our second issue this fall, again distributing it to the entire PMM and RT audiences and SPI’s global database.

We look forward to hearing from you!
