21st Century Programming
is up to the task of turning inventory chaos into order in the realm of inventory management.Designed specifically for recyclers, ROM’s inventory management solutions help to ensure that incoming material is accounted for at every stage through shipment to the consumer. Barcodes and scanners deliver vital tracking technology that keeps managers in touch with their inventory.
"It’s a huge advantage to have consistent information across all our plants that is available to everyone," says Susan Pierce of QRS Recycling.
When inventory is out of control at a recycling facility, it can be tough for managers to regain that control. When help is necessary, 21st Century Programming is the right place to turn.
The Recycling Operations Manager (ROM) system offers several types of inventory management tools:
• Barcoded finished goods inventory management for bales and Gaylord boxes
• Work-in-Progress (WIP) tracking, keeps count of mate- rial as it is processed through your facility
• Bin and pile management, whether that means keeping track of mountains of steel or an assortment of accumulation bins containing high-temp alloys.
Recognizing the limited computer skills of many plant workers, ROM uses specialized equipment, like hand-held barcode scanners and touchscreens, that can be used by all employees, making the process of tracking physical inventory quick and easy.
Information that is tracked can then be put into financial accounting reports just the way managers want to see it. "From the accounting side, the reporting capabilities are terrific," Pierce says. "All of their reports can be exported into Excel or other software where you can work with the data," she notes.
