SRS Hires Sales Director

Sims Recycling Solutions (SRS), an electronics recycling company with North American headquarters in Chicago, has hired Sean Magann as its director of national sales. Magann’s primary responsibilities will be to manage all commercial activities related to Sims’ large national corporate accounts.

Magann has 15 years of experience in the electronics recycling industry. He most recently served as commercial director for Xstrata Recycling.

SRS operates electronics recycling facilities at 13 sites in Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, New Jersey, Ontario, South Carolina and Tennessee. The company has 42 sites globally.
 


Lindner Hires North American Sales Manager

Lindner America LLC, Raleigh, N.C., has announced the hiring of Andy Dunn to be the company’s new North American sales manager for the plastics division. Dunn brings 20 years of experience in the plastics industry to the job.

Linder America LLC is a subsidiary of Lindner Recyclingtech, a Germany-based manufacturer of single-shaft shredders for the waste-to-energy and recycling industries.

RockTenn Makes Organizational Changes

RockTenn, Norcross, Ga., has made several changes to its organization following the completion of its acquisition of Smurfit-Stone Container Corp.

RockTenn has named Jim Porter to the post of president, corrugated packaging and recycling. Porter will lead RockTenn’s corrugated packaging, containerboard and recycling and waste solutions businesses.

The company also has named Mike Kiepura as president, consumer packaging. Kiepura will lead RockTenn’s consumer packaging businesses, including its coated paperboard and folding carton business. He also will be responsible for merchandising displays and specialty paperboard businesses.
 


Eriez Promotes Project Manager
Eriez, an Erie, Pa.-based designer and manufacturer of magnetic, vibratory and separation equipment, has promoted Tom Saccamozzone to project manager, heavy industry. He joined Eriez in October 2000 as a technical sales representative.

Saccamozzone will continue to report to Dan Norrgran, heavy industry market manager. “In the past several years, Tom has been instrumental in the heavy industry division,” says Norrgran. “He has taken on various projects pertaining to processing and equipment systems and has had key involvement in the sales, installation and operation of these systems.”

According to Eriez, Saccamozzone’s responsibilities will now include projects related to the aggregate and foundry markets and projects for engineering companies.

“Tom’s experience and knowledge with large vibratory feeders will help target the growth of these products in key markets,” says Norrgran.

Charlie Ingram, vice president of sales and marketing, says, “Despite the difficult economic climate, we are experiencing major growth here at Eriez, particularly in the heavy industry markets. Tom’s promotion is reflective of the exceptional contributions he has made to help ensure Eriez’ continued growth and success.”
