KEI Appoints President
Nonferrous brokerage firm Kripke Enterprises Inc. (KEI), Toledo, Ohio, has appointed Matt Kripke to the position of president as of early May 2011.
Kripke has worked at the company since 1994 and has been vice president since July 1997. He is responsible for KEI’s marketing department, strategic planning and hedge positions. Co-founder, Larry Kripke, the company’s former president, becomes CEO of the firm.
“Matt’s new position recognizes his management role,” says Larry. “Matt’s vision and principles have been linchpins to our growth. Matt’s honesty, uncompromising ethics and clear-cut values make him an incredible asset to KEI and the entire industry.”
Matt is a past president of the Northern Ohio Chapter of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI).

City Carton Promotes Humphrey
City Carton Recycling, Iowa City, Iowa, has promoted Jennifer Humphrey to human resource director. Humphrey began her career with City Carton Recycling in March 2007 as a human resource assistant and was promoted to human resource generalist in December of 2008.
Humphrey develops, implements and coordinates policies and programs covering City Carton’s employment administration, wage and salary administration, training, safety and health benefits, employee communication and services. She also supervises the orientation of new employees, oversees personnel records and addresses governmental compliance functions for the company. Humphrey’s role also includes providing data and recommendations to City Carton’s senior managers and integrating human resource functions into the company’s operations.
City Carton Recycling bills itself as Iowa’s largest full-service paper recycling company and one of the largest full-service recycling companies in the Midwest.
