VOLVO 4X4 ARTICULATED HAULER

Volvo Construction Equipment, Asheville, N.C., has introduced the Volvo A25D 4x4 as a new articulated hauler.

• Model provides a compact, small-truck package built with the engineering and design features of the larger Volvo articulated haulers.

• Has the ability to work in confined areas such as tunnels and underground mines and on congested, urban job sites.

• Wheelbase is 15.75 inches shorter than its predecessor, the Volvo A25C 4x4, with the option of adding a turn-around system.

• Hydraulically-operated features allow the hauler to turn through 180-degrees in less than 32 feet of space, with the entire operation taking just 25 seconds to complete.

• Payload capacity of 26.5 tons and a top speed of 32.9 mph.

• Heaped load capacity of 17 cubic yards, giving rise to a ground pressure of 23 psi on the front and 28.1 psi at the rear.

• Equipped with a load-sensing hydraulic system that only consumes power when needed.

• Has a 19 percent rim pull increase and 14 percent productivity gains compared to its predecessor.
