Fibresource Inc., a paper stock operation in Fort Smith, Ark., sustained some modest damage due to a small fire earlier this week. The fire began at the company's baler but was contained to the one area. The company did not lose any paper stock supply due to the fire.
While the damage was modest, the baler was damaged, forcing the recycling facility to close for a few days. According to local news reports the brunt of the damage was to the electrical components for the baler.
The company hopes to be up and operational early next week when the baler is repaired.
