Weyerhaeuser has been selected to the Dow
Jones Sustainability Group Index The company is the only forest products
company named to the index this year.
The DJSGI is the world's first global
sustainability index tracking the performance of the leading
sustainability-driven companies worldwide. The DJSGI includes 236 companies
from 61 industries in 27 countries and measures companies' commitment to
innovation, governance, shareholders, leadership and society. According to the
index, ``sustainability leaders can be identified and ranked for investment
purposes according to their management'' of these five opportunities and risks.
Weyerhaeuser is listed under the Market
Sector ``Basic Materials,'' Industry Group ``Forest Products.'' Another
Industry Group in the same Market Sector, ``Paper Products,'' lists Sweden's
Svenska Cellulosa AB and Assi Doman; Finland's Stora Enso Oyj; and Canada's
Domtar Inc.
