Recycling Group PLC announced plans to purchase Hanson Waste Management from
Hanson PLC. The two companies are both based in Great Britain.
Hanson Waste
Management handled 2.9 million metric tons of solid waste last year. The
company operates 19 landfills, four major materials recycling facilities, and
has six development sites for additional landfill space and option arrangements
for an additional 32 potential landfill sites.
According to WRG,
the facilities will be capable of processing and recycling up to 600,000 metric
