Clarus Corp. has been selected by Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. to provide the its Clarus eProcurement product to more than 200 of its facilities in the United States.
Bob Breimeier, vice president, Smurfit-Stone, is leading the eProcurement initiative, which he indicated is driven by the need for visibility and aggregation of primarily maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) expenditures. He added that Clarus was chosen because they met SSCC's objectives of improved process work flow, effective content management, ease of training, good analytical and reporting capabilities, control of maverick spending and facilitation of future integration.
