The Sinar Mas Group announced plans to sell off some of its
assets to pay off some of its mounting debt.
The company’s Asia Pulp & Paper operation has overall
debt of $11 billion.
According to press reports the asset sales could include part or all of Sinar Mas Pulp & Paper, its Indian-owned unit.
