The city of Warwick received a $15,000 grant from the Rhode
Island Resource Recovery Corporation to develop a Web site for Warwick's
recycling program.
Chris Beneduce, coordinator of the city's sanitation and recycling programs, is working with computer experts to develop the Web site, which should be up and running in May. The site will contain everything you need to know about sanitation and recycling, Beneduce said, including the holiday collection schedule, what kind of materials are collected at curbside, which are recyclable and how to dispose of them.
The grant was one of eight that the RIRRC issued this year under its Competitive Municipal Grant Program. The goal of the grant program is to support both new and existing municipal programs to increase the quality and the quantity of recyclable material that is delivered to the RIRRC.
