Republic Services, Inc.
reported quarterly net income of $56.5 million. This represents an increase of
10% from $52.5 million the same time last year.
Revenue for the quarter
increased 6 percent to $529.1 million from $498 million the same time last
year. Operating income for the quarter increased 3% to $108.9 million.
For the full year income
increased 9 percent to $225.1 million from $206.8 million in 1999. Annual
revenue for the year increased 13 percent to $2.103 billion, from $1.869
billion in 1999.
