A warehouse where Alliance Recycling stored
recovered fiber was destroyed by fire earlier Dec. 26th. The plant is located
in Lexington Township, near Akron/Canton, Ohio. The building
was a total loss, according to one source.
According to a report by the Canton
Repository, two other buildings at the recycling plant were undamaged by
the fire. The recycling plant handles paper, as well as plastics, copper,
aluminum and glass. The plant is located in Lexington, Ohio.
“We
just lost our paper warehouse,” said Sheets. “It’s just one of those things. I
called our contractor. We’re going to rebuild,” according to the article
The recycling facility has been in
operations for 30 years. According to William Sheets, co-owner of the facility,
the recycling operation has had no prior problems.
At press time there was no determination for
the fire.
