Norske Skog Canada agreed to sell its MacKenzie Pulp
operations to Pope & Talbot Inc. The transaction is expected to close by
the end of May.
Mackenzie Pulp, with capacity of 230,000 metric tons of
market pulp, is located in British Columbia.
Norske Skog’s strategy is to concentrate on publication paper as the core business, while market pulp is outside the core area.
