Norampac Inc., a joint venture owned by Cascades Inc. and Domtar Inc. entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of Armor Box Corp.
Armor Box, located in Buffalo N.Y., operates a corrugated products converting plant with an annual production capacity of 600 million square feet.
Armor Box recently completed two expansions valued at $4 million and has seen sales growth of 30% in recent years.
Norampac is the largest containerboard producer in Canada, as well as the 9th largest in North America. It has an annual production capacity of 1.4 million tons.
