Harris Waste Management hired Alvaro Medeiros as sales manager for the Latin American market. He previously represented Harris as an independent agent in Brazil.
Harris also announced the hiring of James Stepanek as the shredder manager worldwide for its new Harris Shredder Division. He previously worked with Svedala Industries.
Republic Group Incorporated announced that David P. Simpson has been named executive vice president, Paperboard by the company's board of directors.
He will be responsible for overall management of the company's paperboard business.
Moore & Associates announced that Connie Abramowski joined the company’s practice. With her background as a buyer of high grades, she will focus on paper recycling consulting services for deinking operations in the Midwest US.
Bill Moore, president of Moore & Associates stated, "Connie brings excellent practical experience as a mill buyer and good strategic skills to our company. Our company objective is to have consultants who have actually trading experience in the paper recycling industry."
PaperExchange.com, Inc. announced that Jonathan O. Bloom has joined PaperExchange.com as vice president of corporate development. He will lead the development of key strategic industry alliances and acquisitions for PaperExchange.com. Additionally, Bloom will work closely with the European and Asian operations of PaperExchange.com to develop expansion plans for these territories.
