Kruger Inc. announced a
partnership agreement with the Quebec provincial government that will allow the
company to relaunch its Wayagamack mill in Trois-Rivieres mill. Additionally, an
agreement between the Quebec government, through SGF Rexfor, and Kruger, will invest
more than $300 million to modernize the mill.
The new company, Kruger
Wayagamack, will be 51 percent owned by Kruger and 49 percent by SGF Rexfor. The
modernization program will convert the mill to producing lightweight coated
paper for the North American market.
Louis Sabourin, vice president
of Manufacturing at Kruger Inc. will become the general manager of Kruger
Wayagamack Inc.
