A wholly owned subsidiary of Jefferson
Smurfit Group plc agreed to purchase a 25 percent stake in Leefung-Asco
Printers Holdings Ltd., a company with a significant presence in Hong Kong and
China.
Additionally, the agreement is subject to
certain conditions, including the approval of the Leefung shareholders and an
option being granted to allow JSG, at a later date, to increase its holdings to
51 percent of Leefung.
