Late last week International Paper announced that it will keep its fine papers division. The decision includes paper mills in Hamilton, Ohio and Erie, Pa., as well as converting operations in Ashtabula, Ohio, and Westfield, Mass.
According to a spokeswoman for IP’s fine papers division, the decision will allow the company to streamline its operations at the mills to blend in with other IP operations. At the same time, the company considers these mills a part of IP’s plan to continue to grow its operations.
